Aleksander Valestrand joined The Club’s Loss Prevention and Emergency Response team in 2022. He has extensive experience in journalism and communications, including media and crisis management.

Before becoming part of Norwegian Hull Club, Aleksander worked for 15 years at Norway's national channel TV 2 as a journalist, editor and communications manager. He also has 10 years' experience from Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, where he worked with crisis management, internal communications and as media liaison.

Aleksander, who is well versed in holding courses, workshops and lectures for managers and management groups, says: "We live in a world where information travels incredibly fast. Understanding how an event can develop in this demanding and new landscape is extremely important. Without this understanding, it is more difficult to deal with an incident so that people, assets, the environment and reputation are taken care of."
