The LP&ER team consists of four team members and specialises in harnessing and sharing information with a preventative or mitigating value, as well as training Clients in security and incident preparedness within the context of the global maritime and offshore markets.
As Data & Insight Advisor, a key task will be to gather appropriate, beneficial information, then compile it and perform analysis. This is in order to provide The Club’s Clients with risk assessments and real-life scenarios – further strengthening our ‘knowledge sharing’ approach to the industry’s common challenges.
Norwegian Hull Club handles more than 2,500 incidents annually. The successful applicant for this position will perform a key role in drawing experience from such cases, as well the knowledge and insight that they can provide, and sharing the takeaways in a clear, accessible way with our Clients. The right candidate has the ability to plan and carry out practical and realistic exercises that will reduce risk and help prevent future losses.
We are looking for a colleague who understands and can seize the opportunities that increased digitalization provides. You are passionate about market trends and developments, with the ability to leverage data in order to further develop value-added products and services. Although experience and insight regarding organisational development, innovation tasks and improvement processes that utilise technology are considered advantages for this role, they are not crucial.
Our preferred candidate thinks long term, possesses a sharp eye for detail and works in a structured manner. Enthusiasm and curiousity, as well as the ability to see a task through to completion, must combine with a ‘team player’ approach. At Norwegian Hull Club, there is a strong focus on working together in order to exceed the needs and expectations of our Clients. The ability to build relationships that strengthen trust and credibility with them is essential. As there will be extensive contact with Clients globally, the successful applicant will possess good communication skills, both written and oral, in Norwegian and English.
Preferred candidates for this position will possess experience from emergency preparedness and security work in the maritime sector, or other relevant areas and / or from analysis and data management roles. An understanding of social awareness and insight into commercial interests will be considered advantages.
This role may involve travel, while routine work and administrative tasks in our Bergen office form key parts of the typical working day.
