The Club strengthening its Oslo presence
Norwegian Hull Club is taking strategic steps to further solidify its presence in Oslo. The plan underpins The Club’s service concept and acknowledges the importance of Oslo as a global shipping hub, as well as the company’s long history in the region.
State-of-the-art situation room in Oslo’s marine insurance epicentre
In 2026, Norwegian Hull Club will relocate its Oslo office from its current site on Dronning Eufemias gate to new premises at Tjuvholmen Allé. Here, The Club will be at the epicentre of marine insurance in the Norwegian capital.
The move will also mean that Norwegian Hull Club and its clients will be able to enjoy facilities dedicated to the operational service that is at the heart of the organisation’s business concept: a state-of-the-art situation room. Modelled on its equivalent in The Club’s Bergen headquarters, this fully equipped technological and communication nerve-centre will also help provide hands-on support for loss prevention and mitigation training, and - most importantly – real-time contingency response.
CUO, Atle Fjeldstad, relocating to Oslo
To further emphasise its strategic ambitions in Oslo, The Club’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Atle Fjeldstad, will move from Bergen to the capital in the spring of 2025, bringing executive management presence to the operation.
While Fjeldstad’s role and global responsibilities in Norwegian Hull Club and for the Norwegian Hull Club Group remain, The Club considers having C-level presence in Oslo - one of the world’s leading maritime cities – a prudent investment by which it can achieve its goals in the region, strengthen relations and increase its active involvement in industry forums.
Fjeldstad, who has held his position since 2015, said: “Both my and The Club’s relations with clients and brokers in Oslo are strong and I am enthusiastic about continuing the nurturing of these relationships. It’s also exciting to build new ones in a market that holds major players in the broader shipping industry. But, most importantly, The Club has a highly knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced team of engaged colleagues in Oslo. For me, it’s truly exciting knowing I will join them as we embark together on these important steps in our ongoing voyage in the region.”
‘Our services are the fundament of our promise to our clients’
CEO of Norwegian Hull Club, Hans Christian Seim, said: “With these steps, we aim to nurture the potential in a hub that is important for global shipping, and essential for Norwegian Hull Club. Our services are the fundament of our promise to our clients and we believe that our dedication in this area is one-of-a-kind. We are serious about our commitment in this market and to our clients. Actions speak louder than words and this is our way of proving our fidelity.
“We truly look forward to welcoming our valued clients – and those curious to learn more about Norwegian Hull Club’s ‘Expect more’ promise – to our new home in Oslo in the near future.”
